Xiao is experienced in teaching beginners and grades (ABRSM). For giving her best to the young beginners, she attended the Professional Development of Randall Faber Piano Adventures Tour. Among her students who have done grade exams, 99% passed above Merit in Practical and 100% passed with Distinction in Theory. Yet, Xiao thinks that grade exams are self-tests instead of goals in piano learning.
Xiao believes the beginning of learning the piano is important. The way a child begins to learn and the foundation they build affects their learning progress and outcome in the future. Xiao gives professional tuition combined with traditional method and contemporary pedagogy. Students will learn to hear, see, feel and create. They will not only learn how to play the piano with fingers, but with mind and heart.
