ABOUT BRIDEY
Hello! I’m Bridey Gibson, music teacher and eternal optimist. I’m on a mission to make music lessons even more fun through innovative teaching ideas, play based learning, creative expression, and engaging resources.
Based in North New Brighton, Christchurch, I offer piano and recorder lessons for all ages. If you have any questions or would like more information then please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!

FOUNDATION (BEGINNERS)
Just getting started with piano lessons? The Foundation programme provides the perfect introduction. Carefully planned repertoire and technique provides a great start plus there’s the chance to get involved with creative projects, performance opportunities, and exclusive music workshops.
EXPANSION (INTERMEDIATE)
Already have a couple of years experience? The Expansion programme offers three musical tracks for growth:
- Exam Track
- Repertoire Track
- Contemporary Track
EXPLORATION (ADULTS)
Looking for a new creative challenge? The Exploration programme offers piano lessons for adults and teens. From learning for fun to getting support with exams, lessons are customised to your interests and scheduled at a time and frequency that suits your busy life.

My son has really enjoyed his time at keyboard and gained a lot of confidence and learnt so much from Bridey. I really love her teaching style, she is so patient and introduces quite complex ideas using such fun games. I would highly recommend Bridey to anyone who asks.
