Teaching Info
My teaching is grounded in the foundational understanding of Bel Canto/Classical singing technique, but with a strong focus on keeping a full spectrum of vocal colours available to you. Essentially, I work with my students to help them create the sound that best fits their tastes and genre(s), in a way that’s compatible with your unique voice, and healthy to continue doing for decades without risking vocal injury or strain. I also teach techniques for caring for your voice before and after singing, and can work with students on other useful skills such as sight-reading and aural skills, foreign language diction, IPA reading or accent training, performance technique, ensemble skills, stage-fright coping strategies and acting/drama skills.
