Bio
I have over 20 years experience in teaching oboe to students of all ages. With a Bachelor of Music degree from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne and two post-graduate diplomas from Mannheim and Cologne, I am an accomplished musician. Having held a full-time position as Associate Principal Oboe/Cor Anglais with the Auckland Philharmonia for many years, and performed regularly with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, my focus is now on teaching. With a current shortage of oboists in the country, it is my mission to grow our small but vital community, so come join me!
Teaching Info
While a certain amount of dedication and practise is required to progress on the oboe, I aim to keep lessons as fun as possible. I teach a range of material, including lighter repertoire for younger students. Many of my students work towards ABRSM or Trinity exams.
