Teaching Info

I currently offer piano lesson for any age up to the skill level required for a Grade 8 examination. Private lessons can be arranged at my home in the One Tree Hill/Greenlane area or I am open to discussing other alternatives. As for my teaching style, I am very patient and dedicated to see students succeed. As such I teach a technical/skills based approach as well as one of enjoyment and simply making music. This varies from student to student depending on their own goals, personalities, and what they require from me as their teacher.

I am keen to take students through the examination process, in fact I encourage it, and I am happy to discuss with you which examination board would be the most suitable to follow through with. In saying that, if the pressures of examinations are not your style that is totally fine, it is not a necessary route to follow in order to become an accomplished pianist. Alongside teaching the actual mechanics of piano playing I am also able teach the accompanying music theory that is a necessary part of becoming a complete musician.
