Kia ora!
I’m a recent graduate from the New Zealand School of Music, specializing in performance on the drums. I’ve been playing drums and percussion for over 10 years and perform professionally around town on a regular basis.
I’ve been teaching for 3+ years and enjoy helping my students develop both technically and creatively. My experience includes teaching private lessons, teaching group lessons to kids under 13 through a school program as well as teaching ukulele and guitar to beginner students of all ages.
In addition to my instrumental practice, I’ve been producing music with Ableton Live for over 4 years, creating a wide range of sounds across genres. I have experience using Ableton Live as a production tool, a performance tool, to mix and master, and as a creative part of my drum practice.
Teaching Info
I teach in a fully equipped space with two drum kits, so you can get hands-on experience during your lessons.
I take a balanced approach between technique and musicianship. We’ll work on fundamentals like rudiments, timekeeping, and music reading, as well as focusing on specific beats, fills, and what it looks like to creatively approach songs as a drummer.

My Ableton Live lessons follow a similar philosophy: hone in on the fundamentals (understanding synthesis, efficiency & competency within the program) and balance it with a wider focus on creative approaches to digital music production.
My Guitar and Ukulele lessons get you learning chords, melodies and riffs, quickly, and eventually involve a bit of songwriting and introduce some ways to approach soloing.
I am happy to travel to you for a small extra fee.
