With her ‘come as you are’ attitude Miriam invites an open and honest relationship with her clients. She understands that singing well is about great technique and craft, but it’s also about being free to express yourself at any age and stage!
Understanding the physiological demands required of the CCM vocalist, vocal pedagogy is derived from a sound knowledge of current singing science with particular consideration to developing flexibility and musicianship.
Music theory, ear training and use of technology are taught in a practical manner.
All students are encouraged and challenged with performance opportunities available after a minimum of 2 terms of lessons.
With a passion to help people move forward who may have been experiencing difficulty/frustration growing their vocal potential due to undiagnosed issues, Miriam has a trusted network of specialists including Otolaryngologists, Physiotherapists, Voice Pathologists and ENT’s in New Zealand who have the experience level required to work with singers if further investigation is required.
