Bio
I am a skilled and passionate musician looking to share my experience. Having passed my ATCL on flute in 2024 as well as earning top marks in NCEA Scholarship Music, I also have extensive experience in group performance including chamber music, orchestra, and concert band.
I have also been playing the piano since five years of age and have enjoyed performing solo and in jazz bands.
Alongside my instrumental studies I have studied music theory up to Trinity Grade 6.
Teaching Info
My teaching approach is holistic, producing well-rounded musicians with a genuine passion for their instrument. Musicality, technical skill, the ability to perform, and knowledge of music history and theory are to me all essential aspects of a classical musician’s training, along with a love for music of all kinds.
I teach flute up to Grade 6, as well as beginner piano and music theory. I can also assist with NCEA Scholarship Music Performance, particularly the critical analysis.
I travel to students’ houses in Ilam or Upper Riccarton, or further for an additional fee.
